So are you suggesting we close all threads if the OP decides something or it they never post again? Seems like most every thread develops it's own personality and will go in a different direction of come to an end. When you look at this forum from my point of view threads that lose their way but keep on going long after the original issue is resolved shed much more light on the industry. I'm here to gain perspective and for entertainment. If threads didn't do this I wouldn't be here.

Glad to hear it seems things are working out for you, brsims. Finding the right fit for each individual isn't always an easy road. I've finally found the right fit for myself, and it doesn't come close to $35,000/year, but it has benefits, insurance, paid time off, etc. It's the best paying job I've ever had since I started working 32 years ago. Those of you making $50,000+/year, congrats, and I hope you're doing something you love. In my case, the pay isn't great, but it keeps a roof over my head, food on the table, heat/ac, my bills are all paid, and I'm happy.

I went to a CDL mill, thinking I wanted to be a big truck driver, but during the schooling, I found I didn't have what it took to be a driver. I paid the school on my own. I learned that even though I didn't have what it took to drive, I had a passion for the industry.

I'm not a driver, but I've been perusing here for 3 years, I believe. I'm in the trucking industry; brsims was in the industry, and it's possible we've made friends here whom we continue to enjoy visiting with, and possibly still learning about the industry. It's not my intention to sound beligerent, just point out that there are many reasons for members to be here.

My comment was in direct corelation to his comments. He has great disdain for this business so my question was indeed on target. Friends or no friends, if he hates this business so much WHY does he continue to follow it?

Try training someone, THEN tell us how they should be cut loose after 2-3 days.
