i fail to see how he would be abandoning the truck and leaving it at a unauthorized location or what not.

all he's doing is jumping ship. the truck still has the trainer to deliver the load so he WOULDN'T be abandoning a load. he's just quitting his training.

and now that i think of it. my dac just says something to the lines of consideration before rehiring. you all would know the exact wording. but mine DEFENITLY don't say abandonement. and i jumped ship 3 weeks into my 6 week training.

stay away from the megaas and you don't have to worry about your dac. i've had no problem getting jobs. and my training is the only dac user i've worked for.

All I got out of this thread is that the OP wants to change companies during training because he thinks he has a better offer . No wonder new drivers get treated like ####. #### dude , make a decision and commit. You are the one who signed up and signed a contract when they decided to spend time to train you. Join the military and get a contract for the Motor Pool. See if they let you jump ship if things look better elsewhere . Drop a pair and be a man.

"They" could DAC a ham sandwich, and make it stick! Truth and facts are not required by Hire Right Inc.

Rick , my comment has nothing to do with money . It's about manning up and making a commitment. My last job I had I had for 16 years . I sucked it up when the company wasn't doing so well and I was there when things were going great . They trained me to do a job and I did it well . Just like my marrage to my wife . I made a commitment . Not to get married until I find something better. Nobody held a gun to this guys head to ASK for a job and get trained.

A job is not comparable to a marriage, well it should not be. Your job is to take care of yourself, if the company you are with is not meeting your needs it's time to move on.

You mean after he was lied to by a recruiter and suckered in ? I bet less than 30% of the trainees fulfill their obligation . If they did the turnover rate would be far less than 100% .
