I once experienced a 1,000 lb difference in gross weight between two side by side Cat scales. How can you trust a farmer's scale?

I try to keep it maxed ...I can legally scale 79520...anytime I have to cross the scales on 77 at bland I load 79000 -79400 plus it takes me about 40 gallon of fuel before I get to bland and they will still make me sit there till my liquid stops moving and check me...I normally cover 8 states Va being one of them...those fellows at bland are out for blood most of the time ..at least for tankers..

Those gents at the Bland scale are anal about axle weights. I had on a load of plastic pellets in an air can, gross weight 78,520 but was 200# over on the trailer. I couldn't shift the load using the brakes due to the trailer being completely full {1500 cu ft. trl}. The fine was $82. Easy scale to run around. 460 in W Va to Va 100 south to 81.
