Look for those who don't understand this, it has nothing to do with your "work history", it has to do with documenting your work history. If you don't have one, then you make a legal statement saying that you never worked or did volunteer work or took care of your parents or what ever. Be honest, those work history sites are not all that great, people who do actual background checks will discover what you used if they do a serious background check on you. SO when you apply to a company, ask them if they ... have a form that will be an Affidavit ... or how they want an Affidavit written to cover your gaps, follow their instructions that they give you, make a couple copies for YOUR records and then get them all notorized.
THANK YOU. You're exactly right I want to be able to shove the required papers across the desk ... had no intention of using the fly by night method VW
If the company does not have a form. You can go to a stationary store and get a affidavit. You need 1 for each gap of more then 30 days. You write down what you were doing during gap, have it signed by 2 people that can verify and then get it notarized. Had mine done at a bank
thats easy. you list you were in college. start date to end date. then just put you were unemployed from the end of college to present.
WOW!!!!! you are 24 and never worked? Anywhere? Not even part time? Any way, filling in employment gaps is easy..If you were in school simply state that. Put down your volunteer work. You can say you were taking care of a sick/disabled relative/family member. I highly doubt they are going to nitpick at it. To answer you other question, with no work experience, and no driving experience, you are probably gonna have to start out with one of the mega-carriers like Swift, Schneider, or Werner if you are looking at OTR work. You can also look into the softdrink and beer companies in your area and drive for them. Also Lowes and Home Depot have CDL positions and will hire you w/o experience.
