I don't know about the 2.00/mile. But have him call ICCI International commodity carriers. Number is 800-422-8785 ask for Jill. They're on the left coast so he can get ahold of them pretty early in the morning. Tell him to ask about pipe picking up in Nebraska city (20 miles south) at crown line pipe. They haul irrigation pipe if he's got a drop deck he'll need at least a 40ft bottom deck. I've hauled out of there a couple times it's a PITA to get into and it's a tight spot but they load quick and I know they have loads going to denver. Usually pay is around 1000-1200ish if I remember right. Loads are 10000lbs or so 6 bundles in cradles. Strap it and go like hell.
