    Hi
i did buy 2 trucks with Detroit 14L ,(x-ryder) 2005'2007 (milege between 300-700k) and one sterling with MBE4000 around just 200k

my business is based overseas hauling containers ,While i am living in Canada. Spare parts must be shipped from the US.

and i am finding trouble of creating a list of most important items to buy and keep on shelve if needed

i did follow. Many threads here and was able to make the EGR mod. On the Detroit engines only .

Fuel economy is not a concern as well the emission i could just remove the entire exhaust if needed.

By the way , my drivers hate those truck LOL, So stif on the body, noisy engine ,hard clutch etc, and i once had a hard time finding a mechanic to work on the brake (no one want to even touch it)

could you please help me with that

    many thanks,

    dude6710 Thanks this.

Where overseas? Engine parts should be available if detroits are used in something in the area. I would keep a couple injectors, turbos, filters, fuel pumps, water pumps, brake parts, fan hubs, alternators, radiators, clutches, basically anything you can't buy for it there. It might be easier and or cheaper buying a parts truck and using what you can off it.
