My daddy always said changing jobs is changing bads. If you are happy where you are you are risking a lot to drive the big car. How much driving experience do you have and how many jobs in last 3 years? Can you return to your happy job of the new one turns out to be awful?
You have a lot of thinking to do before you jump. Choose wisely, Grasshopper.snowman_w900, CruzControhl and 88 Alpha Thank this. -
If i take this job then ill need to stay there at least two years to make my self look good. If i was to work there and come back to my old job would that count as another job or say 3 instead of 2?

The grass is never greener on the other side... if you are happy, stay where you are.

Ultimately you are free to choose. God bless America. And you should follow your own path. Time to make that pros and cons checklist then listen to your gut.CruzControhl and 88 Alpha Thank this. -

That large car will be tough to get that bulk tanker into some of the cement plants we delivered to. Even the short nosed pete daycabs in our time.
If it's local bulk then your loads are paid by the load. For example Lime Kiln Maryland (Frederick South) loading for Arlington Silos Pentagon will be around 65 dollars a load. If you could get 5 loads in a day delivered then that's really good pay. 350 or something gross daily give or take.
Then again you might get a load in that tank to deliver 300 miles away and come back empty.
My last bulk employer paid by the hour which is not the best pay at all. Something about 450 miles a day and 6.50 a hour back then. 14 hour days by time clock. it's not a good employer pay structure at all. 90 dollars gross give or take a few. I think the employer got away with in his favor off the two of us and our bulk tankers in the late 90's I left him for several reasons. Believe it or not he was not included in my 10 year resume given to trucking companies in history of employment so I got away with not having to explain that one.
You will find that the large car is nice. But in the end it's a pain in some places. It's still nice. But I think you better off staying where you are for some time. Large cars are nice did I say that three times? But are not that attractive based on how the employer runs them. You might be regional bulk tanker to justify the expense of the large car.
Some of my best work has been with employers who provided large cars so to speak. It's really good from a human comfort scale being able to stand up and do a walk about without knocking your brain pan.UturnGirl and CruzControhl Thank this. -
I was told they have long runs and even go to Canada so i just purchased a passport driving only. Trucks are able to do any legal speed limit.
