Hello I’m new to posting on here but I have learned a lot while researching different topics.
I recently bought an 81 W900A and im having a hard time finding parts. The dealers are hit and miss with info. It usually takes me days of searching everywhere I can before I finally find the right part. Now I’m completely stuck trying to find the correct window regulator for it. I ordered the chain style one that shows up on every parts lookup I have access to. The shop contacted me and said it isn’t the correct one. They sent me a picture of it and I can’t match it up to anything. It looks like the style of the new W900 part but is shorter. If anyone has any info please share. Odd. Maybe someone changed it out to a different style manual regulator. See if there is a part number you can match up.

Check this one here as it looks similar to yours:

It’s similar but it’s bigger than the one on the picture. I’m going to the shop tomorrow to see if there’s a part number stamped on it anywhere. Or if I can get the chain style regulator to work. Both left and right doors have that odd regulator.

    What's wrong with that one?

It looks like it can be repaired.

I haven’t seen it myself yet. It didn’t work when I dropped it off. Looks like it’s missing some dowels on the picture.

I cannot tell you how often I have to get parts sometimes from a junkyard. There’s a couple near me that have hundreds of trucks

Down my way, they have crushed most of the trucks, pickups and cars we needed for projects. I’m in the southeast Louisiana area near Mississippi. I suspect the part isn’t original ro the truck. Heading to the shop now to see if I can figure it out.
