Ethos--I have not been told anything except Elmendorf , TX is the area. So, I am looking for anything relating to the position, living in the area, hours, fair pay, what the routines are.... INFO. Thanks

Im also curious i have a phone interview for otr tanker on tuesday.. I live in NJ so ill let you know what they say
bigtruckin89 Thanks this. -
Schneider had a shot but the recruiter dropped the ball. I requested a job description and contact info as to where I was supposed to go with them. Not one iota of information. I had read in other threads that Dry Bulk Haulers were sitting for days with no loads and it was confirmed that being 'on call' was simply a way of keeping a body near a seat if and when they were needed, but not paying a living wage for them to do so. Kinda sucks, thought for some reason this company may have its head together instead of up its #####. Glad for this forum, it saved me my sanity. Thanks to everyone on this thread and others.

I'll be curious to find out about that interview you're having today, cascivic! What was the purpose of it, and what did it entail? Was SNBC wanting to find out if you're qualified/able to haul tankers for them? Did you feel like you were on the hot-seat, so to speak? Did you feel like you were having to prove yourself, or was it something else altogether? Thanks in advance!

okay had it was no big deal but the girl was " new" so was kind of annoying because she was getting coached by someone else telling her every single word what to say in the background. i have a face to face interview set up for friday but its not really that appealing but here goes.
northeast regional and canada with the six preferred days off a month. there saying its only 1800 to 2000 miles a week at .32 cents a mile. if its less than 100 miles its $75 i think less than 200 its $35 bucks extra.obvioulsy they dont have apu or epus and the truck has to be left in keasby during home time -
For you guys going to Coraopolis Class is every day you are there even Sunday and the days are long. If you get passed the pre work screen your pretty much in. About the only thing that can stop you is the tests and their are a alot of them. Just take your time with them they are all open book pretty easy just remember to read the whole question and all the answers. The training there is pretty good the guys down there will get you through it. For those of you that are out of Keasby ask for Steve Magri as a TE he's a great guy runs a day cab out of there so you will be home every night. Your start times with him will be all different hours. I didnt stay with bulk it's not for me but if you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck guys.
bigtruckin89 Thanks this. -
The current Cory class started with 9 and is down to 5 with one on the bubble so to speak. I really enjoy Schneider Bulk and I think anybody can make good money with them but some people are just not going to make truck drivers. Cory is a tough orientation because the instructors have high standards and the roads around a
Pittsburgh are very tough to drive, even for experienced guys. With that being said, the training is top notch. If they cant teach you to drive then maybe you shouldnt drive.Palace37, bigtruckin89, superpet39 and 1 other person Thank this.
