I think you will find that most independent shops don't have the tools or proprietary software to work on Volvo. Good Luck

The downside of Volvo truck with Volvo engine is only the dealer can work on them from what I hear. Pittsburgh Power was looking into working on Volvo engines they said they would have but like 2 pallets of special tools. Even they said it was not worth it for the amount of trucks they would work on.

Let me tell you something those guys have tools they have proper software but they dont know how to use them i have misfire on cylinder number 5 and low compresicom 46% diagnose bad injector replace them charged $2000 after that I drove 5 miles and I got exactly the same problem but now computer doesn't show any codes so they say must be something else we have to keep looking I'm sick and tired to spend money for guessing

@mike0321 not true. You absolutely need a Volvo tool to install the injector cups properly.

If you have low compression on cylinder #5 then you have a mechanical issue with the cylinder or piston.
You can throw injectors and sensors at it all day long and you won’t go anywhere till you address the mechanical issues and get your compression back where it belongs.

I know what you mean but the strange thing is when they level all injectors on the computer the engine start working Nice & smooth for the next 5 minutes the injector number 5 fuel pressure start gradually increase and bumping noise increase too there is no any smoke from exhaust pipe so with my understanding mechanical problem like you said supposed to be appearing all the time Another strange thing the missing noise only you can hear only on idle when I increase RPM over 1000 missing sounds just disappear this is doesn't make any sense I spoke with the bunch of mechanics nobody have a clue what's going on
