Oh boy...worse case scenario. There are companies that sell used engines, complete. I've seen them advertise in the truck papers. Normally, the engines go for around $6000. A brand new engine will cost @ $30grand.

Is that from the rod breaking? Or from the rod bearings being worn, which causes rod to break?

Yeah,.. I see it now. I was using my phone last time I looked at it. On my laptop now. Completely see that. Ouch. That looks expensive.
I feel your pain,.. I'm in the middle of getting motor rebuilt in my truck. Except yours looks a little beyond the damage mine saw. Wow,.. what happened,.. rod poke open a window? Thats like the worst thing possible.
