Any more updates?

Still in the shop, took the exhaust manifold off, ran a snap test. No excessive smoke. Running a step test to see if any of the sensors show "out of spec" at 100 RPM intervals. Beyond that... No progress 75 days since going in the shop.
I have talked to a few of the head honchos at Peterbilt Care, Paccar, and Rush Corporate. They all seem to want to get this resolved but nobody has any more ideas.
The really frustrating thing about Rush is that they seem to see other Rush Truck Centers as "competition". Their corporate rules discourage communicating with other Rush affiliates. I keep asking why can't we call or e-mail every other Rush and ask if they've seen this problem and how they fixed it. They are not allowed to do that, it has to do with corporate giving bonuses to the most profitable shop. Apparently its pretty common in the Car business but I would think it would be counter productive in the truck industry. Why would you want your customers to not have the benefit of dozens of shops sharing knowledge?
Bottom line, the guys from Peterbilt in Denton and the corporate guys at Rush agree that we need to abandon standard protocol and talk to other Rush and even other Peterbilt (non Rush) service centers. Because this has happened to other trucks, we just don't know when or where.
Meanwhile... No money made in 3 months plus nearly $10K spent in shops, for a one truck owner operator and still no idea what is wrong.... Imagine if that were you. RUN AWAY FROM PACCAR !!!!! -
Any news about the oil sample?
-
Oil is good, no excessive carbon or metals. Nothing out of the ordinary for 10K miles.

If a problem this severe has happened in another truck, head paccar would know about it. Protocol is to always contact higher ups on tougher to fix problems.
I dont understand why Rush wouldnt share infrmation with each other. Our local branches always do.
As for what the problem is..... if the engine isnt smoking and the aftertreatment has been all replaced........ not too much left... -
Am I right to also assume this is not on warranty?
