I would agree with magoo68 that you can't get something for nothing.

How often do you have to do this, normally this shouldn't be necessary.

So far no answer I'm afraid.

On a European Paccar engine you get four warning levels, the first three can be resolved passively by making a long trip, the filter will clean itself. Sometimes it is an active regeneration process, and extra fuel is injected to clean the filter. The fourth warning level is more serious, and you will need a dealer to correct the problem.

Between each warning level are about 10 engine hours.

    Is this different from NA?

I didn't read through the whole thread, but NA MX stages are about the same. Stage 1-3 can be corrected by the driver by fixing the issue (low def, regen, etc). Once it hits stage 4 it has to be dealer corrected.

Fault CAN BUS 2 = humidity sensor or EGR valve. The CAN aka computer has 4 things running on the same 2 lines. I replaced the EGR valve first, with no result. Replaced humidity sensor, shut the truck the h*** up. Maybe a little late for you guys but that was my fix. 2013 kenworth t660 Paccar engine.

    I have similar trouble
    2012 pacarr MX13
After many parts were thrown at it by dealership. I replaced the main wire harness.
It solved many of the issues that just kept coming back even after parts replaced.

I too agree and will never buy another Paccar product. Truck or engine. Their total lack of support for their faulty products have cost me literally $80,000 in maintenance in just 2 years.

Paccar has killed my business. I'll repeat myself again here. I'll NEVER BUY ANOTHER PACCAR PRODUCT. NEITHER TRUCK NOR ENGINE.

Your unfortunate experiences are an example of what is wrong with many dealers and mechanics. They lack the true understanding of electrics and electronics. Your dealer should have understood that so many problems with a rather new truck are not normal, and a mechanic with a true understanding of electrics would have suspected a wiring problem far earlier. Unfortunately that has nothing to do with a specific brand, it can happen with any truck.
