    UPDATE!

I picked up the truck a few days ago. They re-cleaned the entire after treatment system. Couldn't find any other problems. I went 200 miles then it started a re-gen. I thought that was a bit soon for a re-gen with a freshly cleaned DPF-EGR- and every other thing in the after treatment system.

The chances of them fixing a "problem child" this far into it are 0.0%.....

    P.S. And I had one that's how I know......

Yep, Im already talking to the finance company. I told them I will just drive it for a few months till they repo it, of course it will be in much worse shape by then. Or, they can loan me $20,000 to rebuild the entire after treatment and ECM. My thought is, what difference does it make if I have a repo that I owe $80k or I owe $100K ? If it gets fixed, Im out that extra money but maybe I can keep it running long enough to get some of that money back I get the feeling they don't want to finance a sinking ship.

Update:Since the minute I got out of the shop I have had "re-gen required" on my dash. I have had several "stop engine" red lights pop up for 5 seconds then disappear. Two nights ago on the 405 freeway in L.A. 16' wide 16' high and 110 long... "STOP ENGINE". Would not re-gen so it de-rated (for the first time). I couldn't just pull off the freeway (permitted load) so I plugged up Los Angeles for an hour trying to get to a wide spot. Sorry if you were in that mess. I shut it off for an hour, started the truck, held the re-gen button and it started a parked re-gen. An hour later it was done, I drove another 100 miles with no problem. Dropped, then drove 500 miles with no problem.

There is no way it will want regens that often unless there is something wrong with the fuel system. Either injector overfueling or doser stuck open. EPA 10 or 13? 2 fuel pumps or 6? Any chance you have a printout of the fault codes and the last 6 of the serial for me to look up?

The vin is 200011 its an MX13 I have tried to get Rush (more specifically their Paccar rep) to start thinking in terms of it being an engine issue instead of an after treatment issue. After 3 months of this, the Paccar reps finally admitted that they never thought about how they would do a snap test on the MX13. The engine will not run with no after treatment and you can't bypass it like a Cummins. So essentially there is no way to know if there is an internal problem without pulling the head. If there is no code saying "bad injector" or "bad turbo actuator" etc.... Then its 20 hours of engine teardown to know if there is a stuck injector.
Unbelievable to think that none of their people thought about how to do a snap test when they designed the engine.

Now I have a choice, pay $3000 minimum to have the top end torn down to test all the injectors the old fashioned way or put a new DPF and DOC on and hope for the best. Bottom line is this...
The smartest minds at Paccar (engineers, techs, service reps...) have all racked their brains and NOBODY has a clue what the problem is. They have thrown every after treatment part at this thing in the last 3 months, they have cleaned and re-cleaned the entire after treatment system several times... NO CLUE. The guys who designed and built this engine have NO CLUE what the problem is.
I'll say again just in case my words of wisdom have not been heard STAY AWAY FROM THESE MONEY PITS.
If I were the only guy dealing with this sort of thing, I would call it bad luck, there are always a dozen Paccar engines sitting around that shop waiting to be looked at again and again.

    NWAF Thanks this.

You can do a snap test on a Paccar. Remove exhaust pipe before it connects to the dpf and floor the engine. Should get a puff of black and then clear right up at full rpm. I had one that smoked constant. Manually capped off individual injectors until the smoke quit. I would check low side fuel pressure first the check high side decay. Truck should run on 1 fuel pump, but should have codes if one fails. If it plugs dpfs this fast it has to have an engine/ fueling issue.

Your model is a mx13 epa 10 which means it has the 6 fuel pumps instead of 2 and a common rail. Should be able to unplug unit pumps to cut out cylinders to narrow down where the smoke is from. I assume they have flow tested the doser? I have had poor wiring to a doser which does not allow it to dose the full amount but yet did not throw a cel.

Perhaps try a different shop? Sometimes new eyes can help or see something that has been missed. We have had our fair share of problem childs but for the most part they have been doing well.

Guntoter, did they run the engine test with Davie? As far as i know,Davie has a test on it which cuts out injector by injector, one at a time.
