I don’t know man. I’m for the cause but you probably should deliver it and move on. You’ve taken a stand and gotten more money. Time to get back to business.
Need help. What to do with this load?

Maybe @PPDCT will chime in with some guidance.
Hope it works out for you.
The way I see it, stick to your guns and get fairly compensated for your work
What's a few more days?? ?God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
I'm going to get on the phone with them tomorrow or have someone else do it for me and whatever it is I'll take it that's fine but this guy it was just one of those things.
He's kind of like one of those guys do you have somewhere to go you know directly where you're headed it's a very quick stop you're just going to grab whatever you need and leave and you just happened to notice someone as you walk past them and all the sudden you have this big mess on your hands that you're like what the hell.
But for me it's over and tomorrow I'll get ahold of someone else there that company and I'll try to straighten all this out.
But that guy is absolutely insane. Not dealing with him again. -
At this point like I have said it's not as much about the money. It's about this idiot guy that has tried to force me and bully me into what I know is wrong. That type of thing does not end well.
Whatever rate we agree on we agree on, but don't try to take me into the Bizarro world and force me into it and try to push me to agree with your Insanity because you are mentally insane.
And my intention was simply to negotiate the load. All that guy had to say was I can't give you that much I'll give you this much. Bang, we're done. Or even if he would have said I can't give you anything more than than what we have offered that truly is it please work with us whatever. I would have said yes and it would be over
But he was like a lunatic sending me email after email and carrying on with me and...
But anyway he's done I'm not dealing with him again so hopefully I'll have a sane person and whatever I get for it I'll get but I did get more than the original delivery so I didn't get what I really think I should get, but I'm okay.God prefers Diesels and baha Thank this. -
I chalk guys like that up as scumbag agents. I guess after you step on enough landmines you just learn how to avoid them, but situations like this will always happen in this business.
For me, it's not even worth all the grief.
Chalk it up to profit and loss, learning experience, and just keep moving.
I know precisely how you feel Dino, but it's just the business. Just avoid that agency.
I feel for your pain. Just move forward.Speed_Drums, PPLC, JonJon78 and 2 others Thank this. -

I called OOIDA to help me with a broker that only wanted to pay 40,000lbs on a load that I had loaded 44,500 that payed by the 100 wt. They wanted me to load 48,000 min. and I had a tri axle trailer and that was all I could load, Turned in a cat scale tic. gross 80,600 but they would not budge a bit even with the pay and in the small print in broker paper work the lady at our office showed me in the pages of broker contract that they would only send us the 1st page with the rate info. to save us fax. money at truck stop, this was before cell phones, so ooida tried to help but broker had their rear ends covered in contract my co. signed to get loads. Yea its been mon. and tues. gone bye bye, so hope fully Wen. they will change their tune and pay you.

How much revenue are you losing by not delivering this load and grabbing another ?

Man, this whole deal is ugly. I'm sorry you're in this spot, @Dino soar.
I don't have a ton to add. I don't know at what point you're going to cut bait, but I do have one question: do you have contacts above the agent you've been dealing with? IE: his supervisor, his supervisor's boss? Etc? Seeing as you've explicitly told the agent you don't want anything to do with him, I'd be looking for an option to go around him, and to get a sense of what they're going to do to square things up.
I'd also want to get a better look at the communications, and the broker-carrier agreement they had you sign, just to make sure you're not opening up any angles they can exploit after the fact.Dino soar, IH Truck Guy, 86scotty and 1 other person Thank this. -
Dino, I was talking to my office manager this afternoon about an unrelated issue. He said he had to step around everyone at the company we were dealing with and called the director who was in charge of the logistics. He said once he had to actually track down the site “ceo” (a huge company) and explained the situation to one of the assistance who solved the issue immediately.
just a thought, call the company switch board and ask for a person in mid management like a production manager.
