I pulled a van some. I would offer to unload the freight using the receivers pallet jack. Common smarts. We will unload it. Drop a pallet, way it goes. Kids loved the Beer dropped in the loading docks.

Yea I had a claim, and Progressive said if they noted damage on the BOL then it will stick in court. Pictures don't place the time or place it was damaged.
There is some company's that make big profit off of selling damaged goods after collecting insurance claim for the full amount of the product. -
Some insurance companys are just so quick to wright out a check. Do you know the total value in money they claim is damaged? Depending on the amount of money you might need a lawyer. Or pay it your self, or have your insurance pay for it, but they will cancel you or jack the hell up your rates next year

Brokers have your insurance on file. I guess the broker is saying you need to contact them or we will.
Accountants have a term call damaged in transit.
he shipper might pay for the damage if the amount is small
Need to find out dollar amount and find pictures.
Plus if the shipper loads and secures the product then they are on the hook.

I walk a load. Unless it's sealed. Why I haul flat bed, I haul what I see. 3 5 gallon buckets of wood glue broke, and I was blamed. I don't do vans at all. What a mess. Sign the bills after you inspect the load. Reefer is different. We live & learn.

Look at the BOL and see what it says about FOB.
I would also pass this link on to you.
