    Hello!

I've been overhauling my AC system lately, however, I ran into a problem. I can not seem to find the line that goes from the expansion valve in the bunk, through the floor, and connects to the ac line that runs from the front of the truck to the back. I tried getting something done at a hose shop, unfortunately, no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can the cut the good piece left and put a nut on then flare it similar to a brake line .. I know it’s not factory but would work in these part shortages. Other option is used from a wrecking yard

You have to find a hydraulic shop that does air conditioning lines.

I did not need the whole entire long line, I just needed a little part of it so they sold me the length of line that I needed and a coupler and I hooked right up to it.

Just make sure when you call you ask specifically do you have all the fittings for air conditioning lines and do you normally make them up and if they do they'll have everything that you need.

    JerzyG and Magoo1968 Thank this.

I tried several shops now. One stopped making ac hoses, the other couldn't help out, however, I will try one more shop recommended by a buddy.

Replace as much of the outside steel line as you can with rubber hose.

Basically anything not within 1 foot of your exhaust system

I know a place in knoxville tn, indianapolis, in and south bend, in that should be able to do it, or just find a tractor (think john deer or case) dealership

Fitting size should be # 6 or # 8 going into expansion valve

Yeah, that's what I was planning, however, the one shop didn't have one of the fittings. Could you send the name of the place in S Bend, IN? I might be rolling through there tomorrow.
