need help with accident

Call your Insurance and call the Driver's Insurance Company or their Employer to file a Claim.

 

Go after the other guy's insurance and your insurance situation should be irrelevant if you didn't get cited.

In the future do a little insurance shopping and you can save a bunch a money with a different company than Progressive.

 

Why are you driving with no Insurance in the first place? You shouldn't have even been operating a Motor Vehicle in the first place with no Insurance. Secondly you have no business being on public roads with no Insurance.

 

So no one got cited for the accident?

 

Not necessarily. When you have no insurance you are driving illegally and your car wouldn't be in that spot in that point in time if you obeyed the law. If it was dragged out in court they would find you in the wrong.

That's why I told you to get estimates, cross your fingers and hope their company pays with no hassles.

After reading your posts I see you were recently involved in a truck accident last year. You more than of anyone should know the importance of insurance and driving legal.

 

Well I would try to talk to the driver and see if something can be worked out first before I called his company. Its going to be a hard road getting paid through the company when the driver wasn't cited for anything. Sorry this happened to you, but driving without insurance is probably going to be the cause of you not getting anything unless you can work something out with the driver since he wasn't cited. If you had insurance, your ins company would have paid for it, then try to get their money back from the other driver or his company. Now if you took pics of the accident and had some witness that could verify your story, you might have a better case. Where I live YOU would have been cited, towed and had your license suspended for not having the state minimum insurance. Try coming to an agreement with the driver first. Just my opinion,and not bashing you. Hope it all works out.

 

I disagree! I was able to get a huge discount by switching to Progressive. I did some insurance shopping and they were the best deal. When it comes to insurance, everybody's situation is different. The rest of my family could not get a better discount through Progressive.

 

I love this, you drive around ( which your not legally allowed to do) without insurance, but you want paid.
But when you hit someone else, who is going to be responsible for their damage, you get no sympathy from me.
You shouldn't have even been on the road.
