How many lanes were on this road? And was there a turning lane? And if so, who occupied the turning lane...you or the truck?
You were trying to make a left as was he, correct? Did the driver admit to fault to the LEO?

See, problem is, it's your word against his. He could say that you swooped in and hit him as he was making the turn. 2nd the insurance company is not going to fix a vehicle that is valued less than the cost of repairs. The best they would do is cut you a check for the value of the vehicle. But in your situation, even that is doubtful.

One more thing, if you're planning to get a lawyer, you'd better be able to remember in detail what happened. I bet the other driver does.

Not trying to scam the guy or get him fired he told me 2 bill him. I said id rather your company pay for it you live an you learn. My car gets fixed he gets a verbal we all live happily.im a driver also but would never ever hit another car another driver told me take it easy dont be an a hole.

they say its best to shop around every 6 months, a few months ago I switched from state farm to esurance and saved half on my monthly payments plus even got higher coverage on my wifes car which is full coverage. For 2 cars I pay a little over $400 every 6 months, one liability and one full.

im a bit lost, first you said you both were at an intersection and you were the 3rd or 4th car back, now your turning at the intersection and he is turning into a kwik trip?
You also have a claim with your insurance company that you dont even have current coverage with? You also dont know the drivers name etc?

During accidents the cops normally speak to both persons, get registration and insurance and it all goes in the report, could be me but the whole story just seems to be missing pieces etc.

The damage or how it occurred isn't the issue.

There are "accidents" and there are crashes.
    Accidents can happen to anyone.
NO one can be absolutely sure that they'll never be involved in an accident.
    Not even you.
    Hmmmmm ------
    Sounds like pretty good advice.
    Ya reckon.

    Yeah, ..... lol.
It doesn't look good when a poster back-pedals from their original story either.
    Read on ------->
    An as you said?
When did you mention that "miracle"?
That tid-bit of information sorta changes the whole complexion of this subject, doesn't it?
One thing remains the same though, ...... you'll drive even when you think you don't have current auto insurance.
And when you do have current auto insurance, it's a "miracle".
What would your reaction be if that Big truck truckin' company informs your insurance carrier that they forgot to pay their insurance premium so it lapsed, leavin' the company uninsured? Would you accept that excuse? You, of all people, should understand that bein' responsible for any damage(s) incurred isn't high on the list of important things to do. *(note sarcasm)

You're willing to shirk your responsibility to others by bein' unable to cover any damage caused by you, yet, at the same time, you demand others to be responsible for any damage to your vehicle.
Sort of a double standard isn't it?
Please explain why you think you're entitled to receive any compensation for damage to your vehicle if/when it's UNinsured.

By the way, you mentioned makin' payments on that red SUV, right?
I assume whatever finance company you make payments to also includes a clause in the contract that you signed, thereby agreein' to the terms therein, includin' the part about promising to provide enough insurance to cover any loss or damage to their vehicle, --- until you hold the pink slip, after you've paid off the loan in full.
Your actions illustrate what your promise(s) are worth.
It's people like you who cause auto insurance premiums to rise for those who are responsible, mature adults, who abide by the rules, regulations and laws, --- while you seem to depend on "miracles".

Those who depend on miracles should never drive faster than their guardian angel can fly.
