The 2 wrecks I know of in our town, you have to go to the police dept and request a copy of the report and it costed $5.00 a long time ago.

guess it might depend where you are, as for getting an email they wont do that since you must show up in person for that kind of stuff. I remember when i tried to get a copy of a police report and they would not fax it or anything unless I came in and showed who I was.

It happened in oskosh wisconsin. And i was way off about damages 1200 dollars. So great west casualty cut me a check for 1200 simple. They had options on how to get the police report i got it emailed then forwarded the email to claims along with pics and estimates simple. Really simple whats not simple is 5 days for reapairs

Regardless of your outcome, most/all drivers do not appreciate people who do not obey laws and drive without insurance. If you can't afford it, don't drive. Plain and simple.

Just a quick FYI, a guy at my company got in a wreck, and since he doesn't have a PC at the time, the OSHP emailed his accident report for me to print and give to him. It was $16.00. They sent the pix on a disc via snail mail, and the actual 15 page report via email. Everything is digital nowadays. :( They wouldn't give him paper copies of anything! I know this is an old thread, but just in case it helps someone else, that's how they do it here in Ohio nowadays.

There you go being arrogant because people called out your story going back and forth......I bet you saw the truck coming and still proceeded and then got "hit"..... people do insurance claims on truckers all the time to get a payday

This is what never made sense to me.
You are both turning left and you have cars in front of you, and his trailer ends up hitting the left side of only the rear of your car.
Were there 2 left turn lanes? Because you never made that clear.
And was the truck in the left left turn lane? That would be unlikely for any semi.
If he was going faster than you, on your left, with the trailer swing he should have taken out the entire left side of your car.

I really can't get my head around how your story is even possible.
