I had the same problem years ago, Had to dbl clutch just enough to pass test.Too hard on the driveline. Eaton videos have they’re own warranty in mind. Full of disinformation!!! Just shift the same, except use the clutch while going into neutral then again going into gear. Keep RPMs low so it’s all smooth.

Yeah idk why you would want to use the clutch all the time. It’s rough.

I’ll hit it now and again to pull it out of gear when I can’t rev it out. Feels like bad. Lol

Every person I've ever seen learning to use the clutch, every single one of them, pushes the clutch too deep. Pushing the clutch too deep can cause the clutch brake to activate which drops the RPMs faster than you were planning on.

So how much do should you press the clutch? Here's how to figure it out on your vehicle. While maintaining a CONSTANT road speed (MPH) LIGHTLY place your hand on the gear shift lever and lightly put some LIGHT pressure toward the neutral position. When I say light pressure, I mean so light the gear lever does NOT come out of gear while the clutch pedal is NOT in contact with your foot. So we are maintaing CONSTANT speed and maintaing some pressure on the gear shift. Now, start to lightly press the clutch pedal. Think of taking the next 10 seconds to eventually press the clutch all the way to the floor. At some point VERY early in the clutch application the gear lever will slip into neutral. You need a very tiny bit more than that bare minimum of clutch pressure to get into gear. IMO, that is no more than 1/3 of the clutch travel from fully up to fully down. Most newbies shoot right for 75-100% of clutch travel which is like tying your shoelaces together before you run.

On truck, less clutch is the solution to some problems. In a car you would wear out the clutch in a day or two trying this. Truck clutches are much more robust. GO EASY ON THE CLUTCH. If you knwo what RPMs and gears and road speeds you need your task is much easier.
