That's not a bad credit score. I would ask them about monthly installments again.

$9500 is not bad for a new policy since you have no prior records as an independent carrier,It will get cheaper after 24-36 months of good driving.Cheap insurance is exactly that cheap.Paying the policy off is only important if you are not too sure about staying in trucking ,But it is always better to run the truck&trailer with the least amount of payments due every month if any the more payments you have every month the cheaper the freight you will be hauling unless you know someone that can load you good paying freight every time.If you can't get freight over $1.80 don't even bother with trucking.

9500 Not bad for first time start up. I also hear same tru OOIDA and Progressive. Hope you more than Min. Most brokers require 1 Million instead of 750K by Law. Very Important.

I WISH I got quoted $9500. Im just under $15k. $1,000,000.00 Liability and $250k cargo with Zero CDL experience. As a matter of fact, I got my insurance BEFORE I got my CDL. Credit score was somewhere in the mid 600 at the time. They got me the policy but boy oh boy am I paying for it lol.
