i did't know you could use att phone on verizon network. granted you need a sim card for verizons lte. but your still talking att vs. verizon.

i wouldn't worry about rooting and what not. it's really not that difficult and may be the answer to your problems. wipe and reinstall the operating system.

i had a blackberry once that didn't work. sprint couldn't fix it. i did the wipe and reload. and all was good.

may not be your answer but it's worth a shot. root might be intimidating, but once you do it. you'll be amazed how easy it was. in fact, somebody probably already developed some software, that does it all for you. all you gotta do is download it, plug phone into pc and execute program. sit back, drink beer and just watch it go to work.

It... kinda works. If you have solid LTE coverage and an LTE phone, it'll work fine. Get into an area with CDMA towers and no LTE, you have a paperweight.

It's best to stick with the carrier the phone was intended to be used with. You can swap between AT&T and T-Mobile a bit; voice works just fine, as does LTE, but "3G" may not. (AT&T decided to use nonstandard frequencies for their 3G network.)

ATT phone on ATT service in remote West Texas. I know there are other carriers here and my old phone would switch to make the call. This one won't and that's what I was after.

I need the phone more than I need email.

Phone is unlocked off ATT using their code but not rooted.
