Update* Western Express- said no CRST - said no Swift- said no SRT- said no Total- said no Many others as well
Ye Yeah they all saying because it was DOT recordable & I was terminated for it that they can't hire me. Makes it even worse its on my DAC as jack knife, I did not jack knife at all.
Once again, did you try Carolina Cargo . . . ? It's a "restart" (or start) company for people with less than perfect records. Also I've recently heard that Paschall (sp?) truck lines, or PTL ... very Christian based (?) is quite forgiving. It's not over til its over, man. Keep working on it; don't give up. And as others have said, try Craig's Dang List..... or do what I DID....... take notices of signs in your area, for people looking for drivers.... it's how I landed my gig; he didn't advertise. We're kinda country folk where I live in Ohio, but Hiram doesn't look much bigger than my town, Lexington Ohio. I'm pulling for you, man. Keep your nose clean, and to the ground... and "beat feet" if need be. Keep us posted; best wishes~ Tom
ps: Do you have any pics you can post? Just wondering. I had a mishap six years back, long story, not my fault and not reported on DAC etc... but... maybe it can help us help YOU~
Lol I have pics but I'm not going post. I slid thru a traffic light, you know the one that tells pedestrians when to cross. Then striking a concrete barrier ripping the passenger side bumper off, & it pushed that passenger steer tire backwards snapping U bolts from leaf springs. Smh! I shouldn't of been driving in the first place. Roads were slick ughhhh
^^^^ Understood, man. Understood. Check out those other 2 I gave you, and 'beat feet' as I said. I got a HELLUVA tanker gig locally, not due to issues, but... just saw the sign, stopped by, and the O/O of 4 "sweet Petes" hired me. Legally, locally, and not 1099 believe it or not. In the winter, I haul precast, because Asphalt 6122 and 3257 freezes, unfortunately. I totally DESPISE the 3 months of precast, but... hey. It got me outta OTR and WASN'T ADVERTISED....anywhere. Winter, It's his buddies up the road, UPC... crappy securement, but NO tarping. They have some dealio worked out, I guess.... idk. I didn't get this gig because of any issues on my CDL, but.... even if I had something, with 2+ years exp (I have 20, LoL) he wanted me "from Hello." My ASE certification might've helped, and sometimes I work on the tractors, even tho i'm not a diesel mechanic nor tech.. I help him because I'm paid well. Hopefully you can find some sort of local gig, man.
PS: LESSON LEARNED; now you know not to drive when it's sketchy. I'm contemplating MY night of work here in Ohio....myself. I'm heading North, but the shop is South. If I have to do this, I will be reimbursed for grabbing a "motel six" if need be, as I am in a DayCab. Good gigs like this DO exist, man. Trust me.
