OK does anyone know how to run a dump vavle on the newer reitnouers with the bendix abs system. the factory one will not let you dump over 5 to 7 mph and will not dump when empty. i have never seen so much pluming on an air bag system. you would think buy looking at it i have 4 axles hooked up....

Well not withstanding the fact that 5-7mph is actually the legal/offical DOT limit for dump valve usage (its in the regs) but why on earth would you want to dump suspension while doing anything other than backing/docking? - Certainly your not docking at 7mph ?

Asking why on earth a person would want to activate a dump valve while exceeding 5mph was to get further information
as to what you're trying to do. Not to give an opinion.

Messing with electronics and computer controlled equipment is usually asking for trouble.
The fact that you commented "I've never seen so much plumbing.." is a tip off that this isn't a bright idea.

Maybe that's why no one responded to you....

The only way to get around it would be you installing another dump valve in between the electronics and the air bags.

Oh and welcome to Reitnour air ride disaster....LOL. They really over think it.

    Old Thread I know.
On the tractor side, is it just 12v to an on/off to control it. Its a factory dump valve on a rented Fontaine trailer.

How do you get the 12 volt wire up to the cab to connect to a switch? Do you use the middle auxiliary wire on the 7 way trailer wiring?
