Hi, I am trying to find information on a job as a truck transfer driver for a Peterbilt Dealership . Has anyone done this type of work? is it on call? I am not sure what it pays or anything about this position. I am including a copy of the job description. If you can let me know what this job is, the hours and what it pays the info would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Pete Store uses non-employee Transfer drivers. Individuals completing this information will be considered for contract basis work.

You would be required to supply a current MVR record, along with a W-9 and copy of your CDL license and medical exam card.

I would assume you transfer trucks to a buyer or another dealer or possibly an auction location. I would also assume it's an "on call" type job. Or, very little notice.

I did that kind of work for a used truck dealership. It was part time and flexaboe boys so it worked well for me. I'd find out what they pay for and what they expect u to pay for as a 1099 employee. I also wonder about liability and work comp insurance.

    Cat1 Thanks this.
