Did not know until you just told them....... not that they will pin you down however the do watch the gigs on a per acct. basis. Watch you used quanity during a billing cycle ( even if unlimited ) to avoid detection.

lol, I really doubt verizon is monitoring this site. We do not do video or anything heavy. I have never approached 5 gigs

I have a Sprint unlimited data plan and use an HTC Evo 4g that is rooted. I don't pay a penny for internet usage and the EVO gets at least 3g reception nearly everywhere I go.

Oh and 4g is incredibly fast. As fast or faster than my home computer which connects with DSL.

    My 1/50th of a buck.

I have an android phone with Verizon and use a third-party software that I downloaded for free from the android market called Barnacle WIFI Tether. It allows me to use my phone as a WIFI modem and I have never had any problem from Verizon doing this. Best part is its FREE. The connection is plenty fast enough for surfing the web and chatting with friends and family.

Thank you guys for the replies.

To clarify I must say, I have laptop which does have internal wifi adapter, but it is not as strong as I want it to be. Foe example I almost always have to go IN the restaurant (with free wifi) to be able to pick up a good wifi signal, 4-5 bars, but when I trying to connect while sitting in my car (50-200feet away) the signal usually lost or very weak. One of my friend suggested to get UAWIFI UA3 from this site www-uawifi-com, but I still do not know, because I need to know for sure, if it can work on 200-300feet. He also said that this adapter is specially made for cars and have magnet on the bottom so I can simply put it on top of my pick up and forget about it, and when I need the wifi internet simply plug USB cable to my laptop.

The 3G or any other "non free" solution is not good for me at this time, my budget unfortunately is very tight this year, so saving 50-60 bucks/month is almost a necessity.

I have the new Motorola's Xoom 10.1 tablet, I bought the Xoom unlocked (full price) so my fees are less and NO CONTRACT and am using Verizon. I pay $35.00 a month and use the 3G/4G network. This new xoom tablet is wonderful for use in a truck! battery life is AMAZING I get 12-14 hours between charges and that's with heavy use. I think these android tablets are the wave of the future for mobile computer needs. They offer the power of a laptop and this new Honeycomb 3.0 OS is something to behold!
