Long story short, hauling a 300 mile flatbed load and bossman loaned out our flatbed that has the tarps on it (we primarily haul reefers and only have one flatbed). Not expecting inclement weather and the company we are hauling for isn't concerned hauling untarped, though it is typically a tarped load. Does anyone think a 12mil tarp would hold up? Also could get a 10oz canvas tarp so any suggestions are appreciated on which would probably hold up the best.
Edit: no tarp shops close to us, and would hate to buy a whole new tarp for one load when we typically tarp a load every 2 years or so lol

Why tarp if the company is not concerned with it going untarped?

cke and Albertaflatbed Thank this. -
I've used the silver Harbor Freight tarps in a pinch but it depends on what you're hauling and how you tarp it.

It’s like asking, hey we have that one reefer unit that has no rear doors, and we only need to cool to 30 degrees, do you think it’s fine if I just shrink wrap it?
And the answer in both cases is the same. No, it’s not fine but it may work if circumstances are right.
