I flipped a 2001 Freightliner FL80 twin screw last year. They sent the title back and told me it “booked” for more than what I paid for it, even with a legitimate bill of sale. This is in WV. Ended up paying taxes on book value instead of actual price…..

    Ouch. That hurts.

My last discussion with Bank, they stated no way to give it a "book value".

But, I guess I have not finance anything for a few years either.

    shooter19802003 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

I was wondering will it be a good idea to call my personal banker about getting a title loan when my auto loan is two weeks behind maybe they’ll try to put a lien on my rig knowing I’m trying to get a loan on it just wondering before I call him

If you are using the rig as listed collateral, they most likely will put a lien on it.

This was at the DMV, kinda shocked me with it being a 2001 model, and having a clear motorized Bill of Sale…

Yes I understand that but my question is if they don’t loan me the funds but put a lien on my rig so I’m not able to secure the loan anywhere else?
