Need some advice on pay

    I get paid .46 a mile with 3 years experience. I run about 2800 miles a week. I work for a guy that is a lease operator. I get paid 1099 pay not w2. I’m thinking of going company because I have no benefits and I have to pay my own taxes. I’m asking experienced drivers what is your honest opinion in my situation. Am I getting screwed over on 1099 and is my mileage pay bad for the experience level? I see companies that are at .52 a mile w2. Any input would be great so please feel free to comment. I need help deciding my next move and I’d appreciate any feedback or past experiences from you guys. Thanks.

    Hes milking you, after taxs, you only make about 32cpm

    Doing 1099 for a while sometimes makes s3nse, 3 years, move on

    Where do you live? Plenty of OTR jobs in the 50-60 cpm range. W2 With BENEFITS

    Crete seems to be recruiting pretty hard lately. They claim 60-65 cpm. Might be worth looking into. They probably hire out of Vegas.
