He needs to drive a mixer or a dump truck for a while so he doesn't take it for granted. He will think he can make that money anywhere. It will be a rude awakening one day.

That's north of 75k per year. Only thing that would give me pause is if it were paid on1099. It probably isn't or there wouldn't be insurance. If it's a W2 job it's a no brainer especially for someone just starting out. Buy that friend a steak dinner.

    Just an FYI

If this is a salary position, then it is illegal for the company to offer it, you are labor, not management and that falls under the first step in determining what employment status you fall under.

You either have to work per piece, per mile or hourly.

You do have a point. A lot of companies pay by the load and run a set load schedule, or by the day, both are piece work but are often talked about as "salary" by the workers.

I didn't read the other replies , but JUMP on this job! Why go out there on the road and run weeks at a time and be away from family? With this job you will be home weekly and make MORE money. You would never make that at TMC. You should go camp out on there door step tonight so no one else gets the job. Its a great gig for someone fresh out of driving school.
