You might have to commute up North if you want more job opportunities. I've seen a lot of Chicken haulers around your area south of Dover. Tyson is pretty big down there, but you probally need experience in order to be qualified.

Old Dominium has a terminal in New Castle. So does A Duie Pyle. I know OD trains new students. Maybe try them out. I'm not quite sure about A Duie Pyle though.

    Best of luck to you.

Tyson hires new cdl grads; it's on their website. Their OTR trucks are nice.

I could be wrong on this, but I think Tyson only has chicken farms in DE. Those I think are local jobs. I know they have a big distribution plant around Salisbury MD. So does Perdue. I would see their OTR trucks all the time down there, and by the way, they are really nice. I use to delivery to Salisbury MD all the time and I would get stuck behind those chicken haulers coming from DE blinding my windshield with chicken feathers.

Pepsi also has a plant down there as well in Harrington, right by the state fair, off of rte 13. I think they hire newbees as well. It's about 30 minutes south of Dover if I remember correctly. They also have a plant in Wilmington as well. Maybe a couple other options for the OP to consider.
