Years ago I was getting a pm at the Petro in Laramie. The moron wrench twister broke my fuel filter bracket clear off, then they couldn't find one anywhere. I ended up sleeping in my truck in the shop that night, then a towing company scavenged a bracket off one of their tow trucks just to get me going. The manager acted like he was really doing me a favor by giving me a free dinner. What a mess...

Start where the problem started - at the Petro. At least give them a chance to make it right. If you don't get any satisfaction move on up the ladder. Higher ups don't want to hear about a problem if you don't begin at the bottom.

Find a good place near your home and do all your services there.....

Even if your a few miles short of needing service at least those hacks won't be touching your truck.

Hand primer and a filter wrench can be your best friend....

    Call corperate (I guess)

I would call the manager at the one that did the work. Wouldn't bother to go back in person.
If that didn't work I would call corporate office. I received a $100 rebate because of a complaint I had about a pm.
That may not work either but you have nothing to loose by trying.
Also it may not help but I wouldn't be bashful about letting them know how much fuel you buy from them every year. They can see if you always use your rewards card.
If that doesn't work get us an e-mail address and we could all email them raising hell and demanding the take care of the service call.
Also if I am not mistaken you use NASTC for your fuel, call and give them some feedback also.
I agree you gotta be level headed and have all your documentation when you call.

Easier said than done. I do my oil changes between 12k - 15k mi. I average anywhere from 2400 - 3800 mi per week. I havent been home since July. Just got my truck back in Sept. So they have to get done. I am anal retentive about my maintenance regime.

I'll slow down once I get my nest egg built back up. For now,.. I'm running back to back loads till I have at least $30k put away,.. then I'll take a break,. then come back out and run hard again till I have 60k,.. then I might stop throwing up from stressing about not having enough money.

Picked up a load in Salem Va. Its going to Nj,...

Guess where I stopped for the night?

    Come on,..

I think this is karma helping me out.

I'm at the same Whites Petro off i81 that screwed up putting filters on my truck.

Definitely too tired to go in and confront them right now. My temper will flare and I'll probably go to jail if I try to talk to them now.

Going to sleep on it,.. then hopefully with a clear head I can keep it together long enough to get a peaceful resolution. I'd like for them to reimburse me for the road call. But,.. $300 store credit would be acceptable. Never letting them touch my truck again. I knew when I went in and it took 3 hours just to get my truck in the shop, I should have just driven away.

I'll post up in the morning to let you guys know how it went.

    Thanks guys.

Last year I had my home time set to when I needed service done. Unfortunately I dont have the liberty to do that right now.

I have a pretty decent small town guy who does my PM's back home. Rather give him my money than a place like Petro.

We're all only human. We do screw up from time to time. That being said they should go good on the service call since they did screw up. Its only fair.
