Hey, Ghost...take it all in stride...
BTW, my family lives near the Ashokan Reservoir...
Anyway, the times flies by quickly, but you have more time to worry than I do...LOL Try not to, though... Everything will work out, and don't let anyone ruffle your feathers.

I see you're in Florida so I'm going to assume you're going to
Atlanta for orientation , I'm also going to assume nothings changed in the last 2 months.
Swift buys the ticket , they will call / email you a conformation number that you give
at the bus station .
You can drive & they will reimburse you for gas = to the cost of the ticket ,
not sure when or how on that ( I took the bus )
A shuttle van will be at the station to give you a ride to the motel .
You may have to wait for it depending on your arrival time.
I got there about 5 pm and the van was sitting right out front .
The motel is decent & has a free breakfast bar , you will be sharing a room .
It is about 10 minutes from Swift's terminal .
There is also a walmart & 2 fast food places right across the street .
If for some reason you don't get thru orientation you are on your own
as for getting home. -
From what I know I thought it was in Ocala?
I have my Cdl allready
-
But denting the truck will get you sent home as well.... hehehehe
Good luck. And there is still time to pick a better company.. heheheee

You are in a business now. No one is doing you any favors. Swift wants to hire you for X amount. You have the right to ask any question you want to. In trucking, no one makes money if the drivers are not happy. Everyone at Swift works for the Driver. All companies are that way. You as a driver work for your customers. You have to keep them happy to make the company money.
Once you get started you will find that the first companies you start with are not going to be the company you retire with. Get your foot in the door and then put that foot where you think it fits best.Ghostrucker Thanks this. -
thank you, wise words.

MikeeeeShaggy76 and Ghostrucker Thank this. -
Its perfectly fine to call and keep reminding them. Those mega-carriers get thousands of calls a day about applications and pre-employment so as you can see being overlooked happens frequently. Its good to send emails like you did though that way you have documentation of what you have been doing.
Ghostrucker Thanks this.
