    Tony,

    I do understand what you are saying and I am not taking anything you say as a personal attack. I really miss the old days when you could walk into a place to apply for a job and got some face time with a person rather than this impersonal internet applications and phone interviews. First impressions are a huge thing and all the "streamlining" these company's use to make the hiring process more efficient has done nothing but take the personal element out of the equation.

    OK here is what I know someone else did who had an assault charge conviction (his was for grabbing someone by the arm to "escort" them out of his home), he applied to the local companies like conway and other ltl to get his foot in the door. Once he had a year doing local work, it didn't matter what his record was, he proved himself with his skills.
