Not all schools are run that way. The ones that care about their reputation won't touch a student like that, because it will reflect poorly on them that one of their graduates was not able to get a job. Both of the schools that my husband considered attending went over his background with a fine-tooth comb before they would consider accepting him.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I agree that some may do that but there are plenty out there are in it for the money.
Some will act like they look at your background by puting you off for days then accept you.
At the school that I attended all they had me do is bring in my mvr and they interveiwed me and accepted me once I got the funding. -
Sad....but very true. Some will actually have you signing the dotted line for the loan agreement before they run your history and then turn you down.

Actually, please don't ... I'd rather not share the road with this guy. TIA.

the school i am going to is not a take your money and we don`t care about the rest type of school.it`s actually harder to pass the school course than it is to get your Class A.I know this because i have a classmate that had to retake the course because he wanted that certificate(he got his class a last semester)it is one of the few schools that is allowed to let sdudents drive without an instructor(once they obtain thier class a)and as in my case the only schoool out of NC crete hires from.I think they look at it like this....you need to be aware that you want to DRIVE for a living so have your #### together it`s not the schools responsabilaty to wipe your nose and make sure you have your ducks in a row.oh it`s not xxxx it`s JCC North carolina truck driving school the oldest one in the world(yes that is correct)in bussiness since 1947 look it up

forgot to mention they do have you submit your MVR and my classmate can get a local job driving for waste managenent(they came to our school for recruiting day) WOW i know but as far as the schools reputation and the requirements to pass...well i garuntee there isn`t a school out there with a better reputation or curriculum. So thanks for the advice and yes i hate it for my clasmate but don`t badmouth my school if you don`t know what your talking about.Yeah there are some schools that just want your money and i`m not sure what you people paid for tuition but for the three month course i`m about to finish in a week and one half i paid $600.00 plus $50.00 for book fees i don`t think they are trying to get rich off of students and they don`t crank out graduates either i also noticed several students from the day class that didn`t pass the school course and are retaking it(they did get thier CDL`s though but that`s the easy part compared to what the school puts you through)
