There is no such thing as a steering box filter. The power steering reservoir is always low on fluid because it leaks.
Quit this job. Quit now...before you kill yourself and/or someone else.

When you interviewed for the job did you not look @ the equipment. On your first day doing your pre trip inspection you noticed all the flagrant violations BUT you chose to go to work driving defective junk.

You might check Florida Rock and Tank, and here is another that you might check, I didn't know where you live, so just click on this link. I would report that carrier that you are leaving, a life might be saved. Good Luck, and let us know your progress.

Well, as the others have said, run away. Try to smack a couple people on the way out the door.

Indeed ralph, you are right and I have always made sure I was driving a safe vehicle but in this case I don't know what I was thinking or even why I was doing it. But this is a fault I have done and won't do it again.

I have looked into ABF out of Lakeland, FL and at this time their isn't any openings. Florida Rock and Tank is an 1hr 45 mins away and from what I gather the pay is low. I was driving a 1hr 30mins for a company down in Tampa and the checks were take home roughly 500-625 per wk and I was spending 75+ in gas to get their.

The day of the interview their wasn't any rigs in the yard. I was told they were on the road and won't be back till later. I should of came back then but didn't. As for day one I went out with a driver and his rig was in compliance, well maintained.

Smart move, you're just as guilty as that O/O because you're knowingly driving bad equipment not too mention the HOS violations.
