Im considering purchasing either a 2007 or 2009 9200 or 9400 series International. Putting it to work in the oilfield. Was trying to get some insight if this is a descent truck. See a lot of O/O with them out here in the Odessa,Tx area

Either way your into egr stuff..I would go as new as $ anount will allow..Im not talkin brand new but the newer ones have a better egr system..Plus some of the earlier cummins had a cam issue..
If it were me i would find an old highway pre egr truck and sink a few $ to make it workable seeing its goin in the oil fields..

I have seen some 2000 that were absolutely mint, and I have seen 2013 that already completely worn out and garbage. Depending when built, the 2007 could be a DPF truck, certainly the 2009. Do you know anything about egr or DPF trucks? If nothing has been serviced recently in regard to the after treatment, then it will be due soon. After treatment service and work is not cheap. Anything more you can tell us about them?
