Need team driver Minneapolis - Reno

    Me and my teammate were going to drive an empty 102D3 bus from Minneapolis to Reno in December, but he just failed his DOT medical due to hypertension. :(

    Anyone interested in joining me to drive this bus home in December or January? I own the bus and we'll put it into service later. I have the manual for the bus. P endorsement not needed to drive empty. Series 60 engine, 4-speed auto, air-ride, Jake brake. No smoking, no alcohol or drugs, and no greasy food please.

    Question...If two of you are going to be on the bus, which I assume doesn't have an approved sleeper, how is the person not driving going to log the time?

    It’s only 1,800 miles from Minneapolis to Reno. Wouldn’t it be easier, cheaper, and much less stressful to drive it yourself and grab a hotel room for 2 or 3 nights along the way?

    Only 1 person would be driving, and we'd have to get a hotel every night.

    Because due to medical reasons (injury) I can't drive either. Actually I should be cleared soon, but have yet to reinstate CDL.

    I can buy a plane ticket for you back. If you're from Reno I can fly you to Minneapolis.

    But it's not empty. It will have you as a passenger. Either the driver will need a P endorsement, or you will have to take a separate vehicle.

    If anyone is still interested I'll pay $500 and travel expenses to drive the bus home. Would need P endorsement even though I'm the only passenger.
