I just want to get my CDL Permit so bad and Wanna get all this done. I control all my stuff and watch my Carbs. I guess just go to another Doctor who will work with me and the DOT part and see what happens.

Yes I know... But if they just tested his urine and did not test his blood... Wich is all he said in the OP it may lower the levels down to an acceptable amount... Just a thought he likely doesn't drink any sugary liquids being diabetic but still crossed my mind

It doesn't work like that, the sugar in his urine doesn't just show up there in the past hour or so. It's the residual sugar in his blood that is being filtered out by his kidneys.

How long ago was your last a1c check? How long have you been on insulin to control your sugar?

The only way to know your a1c level is with a blood test. You don't get that from peeing in a cup.

I am just relaying what I was told was the likely cause for sugar in my pee but normal levels in my blood in hopes he or anyone else reading may find it helpful.... End of the day If a diabetic IS drinking sugary liquids it IS probably a good idea they cut back or stop completely

My last A1C was ran about a week before all this is was 10. She found sugar in my Pee from the Strip she put in it and then Finger Poked me and so on. Sugar was a little High EVEN For ME! I told her I have not ate or taken any Insulin today so that is why my Sugar was high I didn't eat about 10 HRS before it. My Sugar is very well controlled. I tend to run Higher which my Sugar Doctor said thats fine right now!

OK so that answers part of my question.

When was the last time you had an a1c blood screen done
