Why because we believe in not hiring without a diploma, because we believe in not hiring druggies,we don't believe in hiring with outstanding tickets or someone with a criminal back ground as long as your arm.See that's where we differ, you would and we wouldn't.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
But you said CAKE!!!!

I'm in agreement that success is measured by accomplishments which are gained through hard work and dedication. I come from a family with little means and everything I've achieved or bought was through myself and no one else. Personally I cannot stand those who ask for handouts or believe that opportunities should just be handed to them. However, in fairness to the OP, he asked a question and he or she should have received valid responses instead of posters trying to direct his or her moral compass.

And that makes you superior how exactly? Just curious...

If I owned a company I sure as heck wouldn't hire whoever to drive and haul my equipment. We're talking a lot of money invested in my company. Not saying im better then others on here, far from it.But I take the laws seriously and have a good mvr csa to prove that. These ppl with outstanding things on their record, how long do you think it would take before they start getting marks on their mvr and DAC? Which then reflects the company you're driving for.Someone on here said a diploma shows commitment don't you find that to be true?

There are 2 studies in JOM and JSM that find that productivity among felons being given second chances have much higher productivity than their non-felon coworkers. You can find both on Google Scholar by searching "felon+second change+productivity".
If I had a company, I probably wouldn't hire felons (I know, insert irony joke here) either, but because of bonding/insurance purposes...Last edited: Jun 3, 2014

I don't doubt that for one second. But it depends how long ago the crime was committed and how sincere they are. Many ex felons that come on here seeking help and advice deserve second chances. Then some on here I wouldn't trust to pick up trash along our roads. It really depends on the crime how long ago,how many they committed and if they're serious about wanting a driving job.But when it comes to someone with an outstanding record im talking a felony along with a bad mvr im going to have to say no.
