You are exactly right. After our L/O trashed ours, hubby couldn't get a single inspection to dilute the bad that he accumulated from adding the L/O.

We no longer have the L/O, due to CSA, and thank god they cap at 30. :biggrin_25510:

Wait - the L/O's previously accumulated points were added to your score, or did the L/O get points AFTER you brought him on?

Blitz week, after we brought him on. It was a whole saga, believe me. Not a good scenario, and after he refused to fix the issues, we terminated the lease.

    I'd gathered that much.
Here is that same information in the 3 majors languages of trucking, I was aiming, more or less to make this simpler on him. Like it or not, guys that ain't from this country are here to stay. Having grown up in an environment that was less than what you would've considered singular in nationality, I've seen how frustrating it can be for these folks to get basic information. I know folks who's first language isn't English, and it makes life a lot more difficult. Not a liberal progressive ###, just looking out for the guy pulling up in the lane to my left.

YMMV.

YMMV.

Thanks for the clarification. I was concerned that if a carrier brought in a L/O that they'd 'inherit' the CSA points that they'd accumulated prior. Glad to hear that's not the case.

"I understood perfectly. He has a poor CSA score, has cleaned up his act, and wants to know where he can go where he will have a high likelihood of being selected for another inspection. Clean inspections help improve a bad CSA score, but probably not enough to matter. Only time will fix things.

In my experience, the best states to get selected for inspection are Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Montana. I've heard rumors that California is a good place to be selected, but that they always find something amiss. YMMV."

In so many words. It's a poor translation in either of the three, enough to get the point across without making him think he's screwed. Better than the original post, either way.

Well, there were 5 lights, s cams / break issues, an exhaust leak and something else major with the front end, that I cannot remember now. It's been almost two years ago. The truck was his, we just leased him onto our authority.

We learned our lesson on leasing someone on, that's for sure. Hubby had known this guy for a while and he had been driving for another O/O before buying the truck.
