So sounds like the shippers or lift drivers at these beer shippers just dont care at times. I thought you could get away with 45,000 tops on total trailer load weight. Im aware of the axles and steers weight. Usually when you get the paperwork at the office and look at total weight, you already know without even having to leave to scale first.

What do you mean by min amounts? I have seen some shippers try to sneak on extra weight thinking the driver won't catch it. Example: I picked up a load of dog food once, read the bill and knew by the total it was over weight. Commented about it and was told to go scale it at truck stop and if so they would fix it. Came back and told them I could have saved that little trip.
My point is some try to get by with it to fill an order quicker or easier and for costs. Your right about the weight differences in equipment too -
-
Now do these companies have to have a certain weight on the trailer or is it just miller?
-
every brewery and liquor warehouse I have picked up at has a Min. weight you have to be able to haul. They are the only ones I know of that do this for the customers we have, outside of a weird broker load here and there.
-
So I wonder why they have a minimum?
-
i have never had a problem with anything i have hauled. I have had up to 47k in beer that i scaled.
-
i can scale up to 48k with my 660 as long as its loaded correctly

This is for the regional drivers. How long were you with millis as otr before deciding you were confident in your own abilities to switch to regional?
