Forget these big companies... there are tens of thousands of trucking companies in the US... why do all you newbies have to choose between a half dozen of them?

Do some research...I mean REAL research not just ads in those little recruitment magazines... hit the bricks... ask drivers at truck stops... copy down the names of companies making deliveries in your home area.

How about a Google search of ALL the US carriers and start dialing the phone?

I know there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of companies that will give you a job. Find one...

My first job was with an outfit with ONE TRUCK... the next guy had 25... The biggest carrier I ever drove for ad a company driver had 75 rigs... they were BIG in my eyes.

most big CO.s wont hire new drivers with out school because the insurance company don't like it. Im guessing they feel it is a liability.

I remember Warner said a 40 Hr course ... with half in the truck was good enough to be a refresher course....if somebody had a CDL but not the recent experience.
