Greetings friends. I’m headed out to replace the starter on my ‘04 VNL. I looking for any tips on removal and replacement to make the task easier. ie: is there any work done under the truck or is everything done-topside? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks, I got I’d done with help. I’ve been suffering from gout in my left foot for over a week and I just couldn’t get in a position to do anything. So I removed the front part of the inner fender and the hood latch. Also remove the steering shaft. (I was trying to make it easier for me). I then disconnected all the wiring.
A friend of mine who was working on his truck down the road a bit stopped by and swap out the starters in all of 40 minutes. Everything do from top.
I do appreciate your time and help. The best to you
