    Need good squeegee ideas:

    1) Should be long enough to reach the windshield from the ground.

    2) Portable would be nice, but not totally necessary. Requirement #1, above is more important.

    Thanks.

I recommend the Ettore Pro Series 14 in. Backflip Squeegee and Washer Scrubber

And a telescoping pole with a 3/4" acme thread to screw onto the squeegee.

I keep a telescoping pole with a brush in my jockey box. I also keep a 2 gallon tank sprayer, the kind you would use to spray weeds in your yard. Scrub the windshield, door windows and mirrors with soapy water, then spray them down with clean water from the tank sprayer. Does a much better job than those crappy squeegees at truck stops with no streaks and it's a lot faster.

What are you going to use for soap/water solution and bucket away from home? PFJ's are good about keeping 5 foot squeegee's at every pump with a winter solution glass cleaner

    Windex.

Linehaul drivers never go to truckstops, unless to get something to eat.

If you can find your own collapsable or telescoping squeegee and blade, I'd prefer using gallon-water and Dawn soap solution made up in a drywall mud pan. In winter you can maybe get by with windex but it seems easier to use a soap/water solution (or winter washer fluid in winter), scrub the glass, then squeegee clear, then toss the rest of the solution. I've had good luck in the past with this setup when I did not frequent truck stops or the fuel island did not have the necessary stuff.

Available at Lowes or Home Depot mud-pans-36212-64_1000.jpg

Lowe’s also has squeegees in the cleaning products area and the extension pole in paint area.
