I work for Sun and 250 a day is the least I ever make. Home every day or night with my family. Good job. Quit typing on here and hound them until you get the job.

they seem to advertise pretty regular, so i believe quite a few people were interested in them (sunoco logistics). i havn't personally seen anybody on these boards who was actually working for them, you are the first that i have noticed. so thanks for the info.

I wonder what effect the buyout of Sunoco by Energy Transfer Partners will have on the crude hauling jobs here in South Texas. I would like to think this is a positive sign.

my guess is no effect at all or at least not negative.. crude oil trucks in texas are sunoco logistics i believe. if memory serves, sunoco seperated pipelines/terminals from the refineries. it appears their intention is to exit the refinery business and focus more on pipelines/terminals etc. apparently the sun's refineries in the northeast have been losing money for too long. either they will be sold off or shut down. (marcus hook and south philadelphia) also the conoco refinery in trainer (next door to marcus hook) is sold to delta airlines to make jetfuel.

I haven't talked with any of the Schneider drivers in about 2 months, but then the pay was $900 a week, plus the motel room. Slip seating all the trucks.

K-3BMI and Palletized are half way decent, but suffering bad growing pains. Palletized is new to crude hauling, K-3 is mostly drilling mud, both are running a mix of company drivers and owner operators.

Of the other companies I highlited....Sun Coast, Plains and Martin are the three best in Rock's list. They offer the best pay and benefits....and the best chance to make a really decent living and still have a life. Plains would be the best over all if you plan to haul crude as a career.

I have been off the "Net" for a little more than a week and was surprised to read your post!!

This gives ETP a huge foot print in not only pipelines and pump stations, but in every other aspect now too. The Sun merger puts them into oil production in a big way, as well as oil trading! Sunoco Logistics gives them better control on their oil movement as well. They have been having a hard time getting consistent service at their compressor stations in the Eagle Ford.

For ETP, Sunoco Logistics puts them in oil pipelines, oil terminaling, and refining and marketing in a big way. Sun's Port Arthur TX crude storage is a huge facility!

I see them increasing the truck fleet system wide.
