Half off certified trainers only have 6 months driving experience...so being certified don't mean s***!!!
Sorry yes we are in Mississippi..we HOPE to stay where we are at least it until I get experience under my belt...as I stated we can make it ok staying...we do eventually want to do otr as we are getting older and know we can't do this forever...
He has trained over the years...he was training until we decided to team..im not a newbie sheesh..i would NEVER expect him to train me if he wasn't capable...
That's EXACTLY how we sold it....we have ran outlaw and by months end will be on elogs so they have stated they want me in the truck to run the late loads coming out and the hot loads..besides I've been in the truck for a yr..i know every aspect of this job..i went to school only because we run so hard he hasn't had the time to teach me to back...
Roflmao..he definitely doesn't make all the decisions...hahaha..i am letting him take the reigns on this tho...
Great advice..ty..yea our initial plan is to try and stay right where we are..thats our hopes anyway..we love the co and what we are doing plus co workers are like family..we were looking at options "just in case" but if we can stay and team we fully intend to...
Working on the truck with your spouse is not you together all the time. With sleep patterns you will be lucky to spend 5 hours together. Both up and chatting at the same time.
6 months EXPERIENCE, and can be a certified trainer, IS STUPID!!! They don't have a clue, anyone that claims to be a certified trainer in 6 months driving, is definitely the most STUPID thing ever heard.
Some of the training companies will allow your husband to work for them a few months and then train you there may be one or two that would let him train JUST you (as in not actual trainer status) as soon as he started or I as littl as a month with them.... You have some specific requirements it is going to be best for your husband to fill out some apps and then call the companies with questions.
If you are going to train with a spouse, one of the biggest things has to happen. If one is a trainer with experience to back it up (Ive been there...) and says something, it's the Law. And has to be accepted by the other spouse without arguing or petty domestic throwing kitchen pots and pans or grief. If this is going to work, whenever one is in the driver seat driving... he or she is the CAPTIAN of the ship for better or worse. Wife and I have managed to do a little teamwork sometimes for each other, even today in a little car. Called "Birddogging" if I said arf then mentioned something upahead developing to her or vice versa to me it's going to be acted upon properly not a time for teasing or giving grief for back seat driving. A truck cab is one of the most intense office environments known to man. And to have a wife in there? That's very special. But you two have to be good, behave. And listen up when it's time to work or learn something. Nothing personal. The benefits to a successful husband wife teams literally pour money in amounts too large to spend. It piles up in the bank. Enjoy that. If it does not workout I strongly suggest you send a spouse back home. No harm and (*&*^ well no foul before real damage is done.
