People are getting 7,000 a week down on <3k miles. It's pretty much an ounce and change of gold a week per truck in EBIT. This isn't me insulting everyone... It was a very different picture in 2015/2016 and everyone is getting their back pay now.

And that's low. We all know the really smart operators are crushing 7k. Teams are absolutely setting the world on fire.

And I was basing 4.00 a mile on the shorter haul guys like you... who absolutely are getting 5 bucks a mile to haul it one way and 2-3 bucks a mile coming back. It's just crazy.

Yeah it's like 200 bucks if you get ripped off at some trailer place. Not a difficult thing to do. Definitely recommend it as it adds some flexibility to what you can haul without any real downside for almost no money.

    JimmyWells Thanks this.

I am finding the people offering loads out of FL to be rude... when i act surprised at their below $1 offer they immediately become defensive, aggressive and hang up the phone on me...

They know it will cover so they don't have time to waste on people who want to haggle. It's how everyone gets when they have freight and there are way too many trucks for that freight.

@100%Gofio Careful now... But it's been crazy enough that folks could more or less dictate what they wanted. I know there were a couple of points in the last two weeks where I was hearing that I was a *grand* light of what they'd need to get it. Fortunately, my customer's a good guy, and we've got a good working relationship.
