I started at 18 a hour. Yea they pay was real low, lot of bad deliveries, but management is real laid back. But the benefits were decent and even have a pension plan so I coulldnt complain too much

With the way alot of these companies are these days I think it is worth it to work a job making a couple of dollars an hour less in exchange for being left alone and treated like a human being.

That's why they are as laid back as they are. They don't pay well but they don't harass the drivers. Like the top paying companies know they pay good so they are constantly harassing them

im driving a 94 Mack with atleast 1.5 mil on it,engine is great, everything else sucks.uncomfortable as all heck.the other truck i had was a Mack with over 2 mil on it,ran fine just when i turned the wheel to the left truck kept going straight,lol..good people for the most part and no one really bothers you,im getting about 500 mi a night and sat work, their pay scale is way below average, but no one bothers me.im new there and dont expect a new truck, but something that is from this century would be nice,in those old beaters im crippled after 12-14 hours.

Wow I thought we had it rough at 14. Most of our trucks are the internationals, but our line trucks are Mack's with automatics. Only two of the, use manual and those are the twin screw trucks. One of them is a beast, I've used it on Saturday line haul. The guy would work Sunday's instead so I was able to use it. (I was a city driver). Pretty much you show them your a worker then your good there. On my last day they were about to let ,e go early, then they asked if I wouldn't mind doing the trailer swap which would get me an extra 3 Hours. I ended up doing it. Wanted the money and figured I already was leaving in a good name so I didn't want to change that. Plus ninjas no plans that night anyways lol
